Important Dates
Following are tentative dates for various activities in the admission process. This page will be updated periodically during the admission process.
1. KVYP Channel
Application portal opens at 9 AM (tentative)- Sunday, May 26, 2019

2. JEE-Advanced Channel
Application portal opens at 9 AM (tentative)- Saturday, June 15, 2019

3. SCB Channel

Eligibility
Candidates who have passed 10+2 or equivalent level exam with science stream in 2018 or 2019 are eligible to apply for admissions. Candidates will be admitted to IISER only through following three channels.
1. Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) channel2. Joint Entrance Examination (JEE-Advanced) of the Indian Institutes of Technology3. State and Central Boards Channel (SCB)
These channels will be referred to as KVPY, JEE, and SCB, respectively.
Indian nationals and students belonging to PIO or OCI category are eligible to apply provided they satisfy the eligibility criteria described below.
1.KVPY Channel
Candidates having a valid KVPY fellowship commencing from 2019-20 academic session are eligible to apply for admissions. Additional cut-off criteria for marks obtained in 10+2 board examination is also applicable.
JEE-Advanced Channel
Candidates in General category securing a rank within 10000 in the Common Rank List (CRL) of JEE Advanced 2019 are eligible to apply.
For candidates belonging to the reserved category (OBC-NC, SC, ST, PD), their category rank should be within 10000. Additional cut-off criteria for marks obtained in 10+2 board examination is also applicable.
SCB Channel
Students who have passed 10+2 level with science stream in 2018 or 2019 are eligible to apply for admissions and appear for IAT 2019.
However, they will be considered for admissions to the degree programmes only if they obtain the cut-off marks specified for their board.

Students applying through SCB channel will have to appear in the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) which will be conducted at various centres across the country.
Application Fee-
There is a non-refundable application fee of Rs.2,000/- for candidates applying under General, EWS, and OBC-NCL categories.
Rs.1,000/- for Persons with Disabilities and candidates under SC/ST category. The fee for foreign nationals is USD 100.
IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) 2019
IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) 2019 will be conducted in a fully computer-based test mode.
The format of the aptitude test is as follows:
Multiple-choice questions (each with only one correct answer) in four subjects – Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics with equal weightage
15 questions in each subject (total: 60)
Duration: 180 minutes
Evaluation: +3 (for each correct response), 0 (for each no response), -1 (for each wrong response)

Syllabus for IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) 2019
Syllabus for the IISER aptitude test is given on the official website. The syllabus generally follows the NCERT syllabus for classes XI and XII.

Admit Card/ Hall Ticket for IAT 2019-
The hall ticket will be available on the website a few days before the IISER aptitude test. The candidate can download their hall ticket after logging into their account in the application portal.
HOW TO DOWNLOAD IAT 2019- ADMIT CARD / HALL TICKET
The process to download the Admit Card / Hall Ticket from the candidate’s account are as follows:
1. Go to IISER Admissions Official Website www.iiseradmission.in, click on Apply
2. Click on Application Login button
3. Applicant needs to enter their respective User-ID and Password to login, then click on Login button.
4. Click on the Hall Ticket Tab
5. Select Assessment from Dropdown
6. Click on Download button to download the Hall ticket/Admit Card
7. After downloading the Admit Card/Hall Ticket, take the print
