    NTA NEET UG 2020 Schedule, Applications, Eligibility, Admit Card, Answer Key & Result

    Online applications are invited for National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (UG) – 2020 [NEET (UG) – 2020] to be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). 
    Section 14 of the National Medical Commission Act, 2019 provides for holding of a common and uniform National Eligibility-cum Entrance Test (NEET) for admission to the undergraduate medical courses in all medical institutions including those governed under any other law. Thus, the admission to MBBS course in AIIMS, New Delhi, JIPMER and all AIIMS like institutions will also be made through NEET. NEET (UG) – 2020 shall be conducted in 11 languages, including English and Hindi. 

    PATTERN OF TEST :

    The NEET (UG) – 2020 shall consist of one question paper containing 180 multiple choice questions (four options with single correct answer) from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology). 

    The schedule of examination activities and other important information are as follows:

    i) Date of Examination- 03 May 2020 
    ii) Timing of Examination- 02:00 pm to 05:00 pm 
    iii) Duration of Examination- 180 minutes (03 hours) 
    iv) Mode of Examination- Pen and Paper 
    v) Online Submission of Application Form (including uploading of photograph and signature)- 02 December 2019 – 31 December 2019 (up to 11:50 pm) 
    vi) Successful Transaction of Fee through Credit Card/Debit Card/NetBanking/UPI- 02 December 2019 - 01 January 2020 (up to 11:50 pm) 
    vi) Correction in Particulars of Application Form on NTA Website- 15 January 2020 - 31 January 2020 
    vii) Downloading of Admit Cards from NTA website- 27 March 2020 
    viii) Declaration of Result on NTA Website by 04 June 2020

    Application Fee-

    Fee Payable by Candidate 
    General/Unreserved- Rs. 1500/- 
    General-EWS/ OBC-NCL*- Rs. 1400/- 
    SC/ST/PwD/Transgender- Rs. 800/- 
    Service/Processing Charges & Goods and Services Tax (GST) are to be paid by the candidate, wherever applicable 
    The fees can be paid only online up to 01.01.2020 (Wednesday).

    Eligibility to appear in NEET (UG) – 2020 

    Eligibility for appearing in NEET (UG) is as per related Regulations is as follows: i. He/she has completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete that age on or before 31 December of the year of his/her admission to the first year Undergraduate Medical Courses . 
    ii. The upper age limit for NEET (UG) is 25 years as on the date of examination with relaxation of 5 years for the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC-NCL category and PwD Candidates. 

    NOTE: The upper age limit of 25 years as prescribed under the Regulations on Graduate Medical Education, 1997 vide amendment dated 22.01.2018, was challenged before the Hon'ble High Court of Delhi and the said upper age limit had been upheld vide judgement dated 11.05.2018 in W.P. No.1813/2018 & other connected matters. The said judgement dated 11.05.2018 was challenged before the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in SLP (C) No. 14320/2018 & other connected matters, when vide interim order dated 29.11.2018, candidates who are 25 years and above were provisionally permitted to appear in NEET-UG-2019 subject to the final outcome of the said matters. The Supreme Court thereafter, vide order dated 29.04.2019 had permitted the candidates to appear provisionally in the Counselling subject to the adjudication of the matters. The aforesaid matters are pending adjudication before the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India and the authorities shall abide by any order that may be passed for NEET-UG-2020. 
    Thus, the candidates above 25 years are provisionally permitted to appear and their candidature is subject to the outcome of pending Petitions before the Hon'ble Supreme Court. 

    Accordingly, the eligibility conditions regarding age limit have been revised as under: 
    For Candidates of General (UR)/General-EWS born on or before 31.12.2003 
    For Candidates of SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwD Category 

    iii. Indian Citizens/ Overseas Citizens of India intending to pursue Undergraduate Medical Courses from a foreign Medical/ Dental Institute also need to qualify NEET (UG).

    The Information Bulletin containing detailed information regarding the Test, syllabus, eligibility criteria to appear/admission, age, reservation, categorisation of seats, examination fee, cities of examination, State Code, etc. is available on website www.ntaneet.nic.in
    The candidates, who desire to appear in NEET (UG) – 2020, may check all the details in the Information Bulletin on www.ntaneet.nic.in and apply for the same only online between 02.12.2019 (Monday) and 31.12.2019 (Tuesday).

    Extension of Last Date for submission of Application Form of NEET (UG) - 2020 

    The last date for submission of Application Form of NEET (UG) - 2020 i.e. 31.12.2019 (upto 11:50 PM) is hereby extended to 06.01.2020 (upto 11:50 PM), in order to enable the aspiring candidates who have not been able to apply in the Online Application Form due to heavy rush in the website. This is being done in view of a number of requests being received in this regard. The revised schedule shall be as under: 

    REVISED DATES 

    i. On-line submission of Application Form- 02.12.2019 to 06.01.2020 (upto 11.50 p.m.) 
    ii. Successful final transaction of fee- 02.12.2019 to 07.01.2020 (upto 11.50 p.m.) 
    iii. The date of correction in particulars in Online Application Form remains the same i.e. 15.01.2020 to 31.01.2020 (upto 11.50 p.m.). 
    iv. In addition to the above, the Candidate(s) in the Kashmir Valley, Leh and Kargil can also submit the Application Form offline at the Nodel Centres fixed by NTA.

    Centre Change List-

    The National Testing Agency (NTA) hereby informs that the Examination Centers of NEET (UG) - 2020 Examination scheduled on 13 September 2020 from 02:00 PM to 05:00 PM for some of the candidates have been changed due to implementation of COVID-19 measures, as per details annexed. 
    There is no change in the Centre Cities of the candidates; only Centres have been changed.
